FAQs
Q: Are fittings included in the price?
A: All standard fittings on the tank are included in the price. (*Nails to mount tank on the wall, tap and internal workings)
Q: How long can municipal water be stored in the tank?
A: In ideal circumstances municipal water can be stored inside the tank for a long time, because it is chlorinated and safe to store for extended periods. We recommended that the water is run once a month to rotate the water and to ensure that the best quality water is available.
Q: Is the water of a drinking quality?
A: This water is directly from your mains (if you install the tank as intended), therefore this is dependent on your area and water quality. We would suggest boiling the water if this has been in the tank for any period of time.
Q: What colours are the tanks available in?
A: The tanks come in 3 powder coated frames; these are black, grey and white with the internal tanks consisting of a black or grey plastic tank.
Q: How does the tank automatically refill when the water is restored
A: The tank fills with water when connected to the mains. As the water rises, the float attached to it presses against the inlet valve. When the tank is full, the float is pressing against the inlet valve hard enough to turn the water off. This stops the tank from overflowing.
Q: Is 45 Litres of water enough?
A: This is enough water to keep an individual going for a few days until water is restored to your area.
Q: Do I need a plumber to install my tank?
A: We would recommend getting a professional in to assist with your installation. However this is dependent on the individual purchasing the tank.
